Store Rules

  • Sorry, We only accept cash.

  • Seating is based on fit, not just order of arrival. If a smaller group comes in after you and there is a table that suits them, they may be seated first. This is especially true for groups of three or more.
We appreciate your patience and ask that you come prepared for this possibility.

  • On busy days when many customers are waiting you might be limited on how much you can order.

  • When you walk in, please make eye contact and return a smile when greeted. A warm welcome deserves a warm response.
We also want to be open about something close to our hearts. Occasionally, some guests have been reluctant to order or interact with Steven simply because he is not Japanese. We understand that language differences can feel uncomfortable, but we ask that you give us a chance regardless of where we are from.
This pizzeria was built on the belief that good food and genuine hospitality have no nationality. We hope you share that belief too.

  • If you are dining with children, please ensure they remain seated, especially when the restaurant is busy.
Hot food and sharp objects are being carried through the space at all times. An unsupervised child running or moving around is a serious safety risk, for themselves, for other guests, and for our staff.
This is not just a courtesy request. It is a matter of safety, and we appreciate your full cooperation.

  • Slices and whole pies are available in limited quantities. Please check the display case to see what is available before you order; what you see is what we have. If you have questions, just ask at the counter.
All customers are served in the order their order is placed.
If you are ordering a whole pie, please be mindful that during busy times we ask that you finish your meal within 30 minutes. Other guests are waiting, and a little courtesy goes a long way.

  • We warmly welcome all guests who come with an open heart and a respectful attitude. Our team serves everyone equally, regardless of language or background. Guests who are uncomfortable interacting with non-Japanese staff or customers may find this environment difficult to enjoy.
We also kindly ask that all guests observe basic courtesy toward our staff and fellow diners. Those visiting solely to check off a popular spot; rather than to genuinely enjoy the food and atmosphere; may find the experience falls short of expectations. We are a small, passionate pizzeria; not a theme park attraction. We put our heart into every guest who walks through our door, and we simply ask that same energy in return.

  • A few things to know before you visit:
We are a counter-service restaurant. All orders and questions are handled at the counter. Calling out to staff from your table is disruptive to other guests and to our team, and we ask that you respect this.
Of course, guests with disabilities or mobility difficulties are always welcome to receive table assistance; please just let us know and we will be happy to accommodate you. Please note that we do not have high chairs for infants. Strollers are welcome but its best to call ahead for a smoother experience.

    • When our staff thank you on your way out, please acknowledge them. It takes one second and it means everything to the people who just made your meal.
Silently walking out is considered rude, and we do not think that is the kind of guest you want to be.
  • The shop is run by two people, so please have patience and understanding.

  • Please do not tear or rip your pizza apart to share with others.
We make New York style pizza; large, foldable slices that are meant to be folded and eaten as a whole slice. A lot of work goes into achieving that. Ripping it up with your hands makes for a bad eating experience and does not do the pizza justice.

  • Feel free to photograph and film your visit, but please be considerate of other customers who may not wish to appear in your photos or videos.
Steven is frequently asked to take photos with guests and is always happy to oblige, no matter how busy it gets. Just come ask him.

  • Finally, a word on conduct.
We have experienced more than our share of difficult situations with guests. We hope that having read the above, most of that can be avoided.
But to be clear: any guest who argues with staff, ignores these guidelines, or behaves rudely toward anyone in this pizzeria will be asked to leave. No exceptions. Our staff have the full authority to make that call.
We are here because we love what we do. Please respect that.

I want you to know that my love goes into every pizza I make for you. When I am in working, my entire focus is on giving you the best pizza I possibly can.

This is not a transaction to me. This is my craft.

I hope you can taste the difference, and I hope it brings you joy.

— Steven
